Let In The Sun

(Joe D'Urso)
First started in 1998 in New Zealand as I saw this girl in a shop. Started writing down the words and didn't find them until I was doing songwriting sessions with Toby Scott. Was able to move some things around and find the song I was trying to write back then.

She's got natty natty blond hair
Six pins through her nose
Enough makeup to cover her head to toe
Works in a fine dress shop
But never wears one
And when she's got the money
From this town she'll run

Who you hiding from?
Who you running to?
Do you know the difference between the two?
Stand still for minute one
Lose the mask and let in the sun

He's a muscle head in a suped up car
Small town, small time nowheresville star
The girls either hated him or loved him so
Guys like that blink twice and then they go

Who you hiding from?
Who you running to?
Do you know the difference between the two?
Stand still for minute one
Lose the mask and let in the sun

So afraid to let people see
It's as frighting as life can be
But what are we living for
If we close all life's doors
Block out the sun and hide alone inside

She's got natty, natty blond hair
Six pins through her nose
He's a muscle head in a suped up car
Small town, small time nowheresville star
The girls either hated him or loved him so
Guys like that blink twice and then they go
